Born out of the Interfaith Power & Light movement, we see our response to global climate change, resource depletion, environmental injustice, and pollution as an extension of our faith.

Under the supervision of the Communications Manager, the Communications Associate executes communication priorities aligned with GIPL’s strategic goals and approved marketing frameworks. The Communication Associate provides creative and operational support that connects GIPL’s commitments to justice, environmentalism, and spirituality through disciplined digital strategy and multimedia storytelling. The role primarily focuses on social media marketing, creative content development, website, and event communications.

PROGRAM ASSOCIATE - Posted Jan. 26, 2026
Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Program Associate will be one of the primary GIPL on-site representatives to diverse local faith and spiritual communities and will be responsible for promoting and implementing environmental education modules and practical climate solutions, such as energy efficiency and rooftop solar. Additionally, the Program Associate will assist with outreach efforts in metro Atlanta to recruit congregations to get involved in the work of climate and environmental justice and will manage GIPL’s Power-Wise program.
